Is there a final project?
Yes. Participants complete a strategic group project, presented at the final in-person session in May.

Do I need prior wine industry experience?
Not necessarily. While many participants work in wine or related sectors, we welcome professionals with transferable expertise in branding, strategy, hospitality, or international business.
What kind of professionals typically join the program?
Participants come from diverse backgrounds — wine business, marketing, consulting, export, hospitality, and entrepreneurship — but all share a desire to think strategically and grow as leaders.
Is this program more academic or practical?
It is designed as a strategic bridge between theory and practice. Expect intellectually rich content with direct application to real-world challenges.
Can I work full-time while participating in the program?
Yes. The program is structured with working professionals in mind. Online modules are asynchronous, and in-person sessions are concentrated into four 3-day blocks.
Where are the in-person sessions held?
All in-person sessions take place in Budapest, Hungary — in venues selected for both professional and cultural relevance.
Is accommodation included during in-person sessions?
No, but we offer guidance and discounted partner options for centrally located lodging.
How is the final project structured?
Participants work in small teams on a strategic challenge connected to the wine industry. Projects are presented in May to faculty and peers, with feedback from expert evaluators.
What does the selection process look like?
After submitting the application, selected candidates may be invited for a short online conversation to ensure alignment with the program’s objectives and community.
Will I receive a diploma or certificate?
Yes. Graduates receive a WBA Executive Program Certificate, recognizing completion and active contribution.
Can I join from outside Europe?
All lectures are professionally recorded, so participants can complete the program from anywhere in the world.
Do I need to be fluent in English?
You should feel comfortable reading, writing, and engaging in professional discussion in English. Native-level fluency is not required, but confidence is key.
Can my company sponsor my tuition?
Yes, and many participants receive partial or full support from their employers. We’re happy to provide institutional documentation upon request.
